Located in the Japanese city of the same name, the Shizuoka Distillery is a modern, small-scale craft distillery that produces an exceptional range of single malt whiskies. It relies on two distinct, traditional stills—a setup currently unique in the world of whisky. By utilizing either local Japanese barley (malted) or imported European malt (malted barley), the distillery creates a rich, deep, and multi-dimensional single malt, focusing on the whisky's pure, "bright" character derived from the art of fermentation and distillation.
